TeamSupport Gets RESTful
Sunday, November 1st, 2009TeamSupport has released its new RESTful API. This API will allow TeamSupport users to integrate with other applications in their company workflow. If you would like to create an extension to the TeamSupport application, the API will allow you to do it.
How it Works
The TeamSupport API closely follows the REST principles to make it intuitive and easy to get started. It uses XML over secure HTTP using all four verbs (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) to manipulate your data. This is just a technical way of saying, you can get, add, update, and delete data through the web. Each object (Tickets, Customers, Products, etc…) in TeamSupport is treated as a resource or web address. Within these objects, your custom fields are seamlessly integrated.
Getting Started
It is easy to get started. Just click here to get the documentation. As always, do not hesitate to give us a shout if you are having problems. Contact us or give us a call at 800.596.2820. If you still need help or don’t have the time or staff, no problem. Our development team is available to write the code needed to integrate third party software into your TeamSupport account.
Because of data transfers and system taxing, the API is only available for paid accounts.
